    What areas do you serve?
We serve primarily the New York City area, including the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. Please keep in mind, for sitter drop-off and pick-up, we charge per mile traveling to and from your home. Please view our booking page for the rate/ mile.

  • What qualifications do your pet caregivers have?
Hilda has over 20 years of experience working with animals of all different breeds with all different needs. She is experienced in administering oral medications, injected medication administration, senior dog experience, and special needs dog experience and is certified in pet first aid and CPR.

She is also a highly rated pet-sitter on the Rover website (check out her page here) with a 5 star rating and over 45 reviews from clients. Being a Rover pet caregiver and school counselor, Hilda has completed several extensive background checks, including the enhanced background check with Rover. For more information on what Rover’s background checks entail, visit their page here.

How do you ensure the safety of my pet during services?
We require each pet parent to complete an intake form at time of booking before their first service to let us know of any special needs or accommodations for your pet. We take these very seriously and adapt our care to make sure that your animal is safe and in a low-stress environment as much as possible.
We also require that all pet parents provide vaccination records as part of the intake process. Each new client has a complimentary “meet-and-greet” with Hilda and your pet to ensure we are a good fit for your pet’s care.

When caring for multiple animals at once, we follow best training practices for your pets to minimize aggression and stress, including but not limited to separation during feeding, supervised interactions between pets, limiting high-arousal play and competitive activities, and limiting unsupervised access to toys to prevent aggression.

How often do you communicate updates on my pet's well-being?
Another of Hilda’s passions is photography, so you get quality photo and video updates of your pet throughout the day, depending on the type of service booked. For example, if you book a dog walk in the morning, you will get picture and video updates of your dog while she is walking with it.

What if my pet has special medical or dietary needs?
When completing your booking, we require that you fill out our intake form and indicate any special dietary or medical needs that your pet(s) may have and any special behaviors needed while taking care of your pet. If there are any additional concerns, we recommend you schedule a consultation with Hilda to discuss your pet’s special needs.

How do you handle emergencies involving my pet?
As part of our intake form with your first booking, we ask that you provide us with your preferred vet for your pet. We will only call you if there is an emergency with your pet. If your vet is not available or you cannot be reached at the time of emergency, we will take your pet to the nearest available vet.

  • How do I schedule pet care services?
To schedule any of our pet care services, please visit our booking page here. There you will be able to book the type of service desired, select your dates and times, select add-on services, fill out our intake form, and pay for your booked services.

Do you offer customizable care plans?
We offer clients a number of service add-ons to make sure that their pets are getting the care they want and deserve, but you know your pet best, so if our add-on services do not provide something you are looking for, we offer free consultations to discuss the particulars of your pet’s care.

If you are in need of a custom pet-care plan or booking, please contact us directly so that we can discuss and make sure your pet is getting the care they need.

Are your services available during holidays and weekends?
Yes! We are available most holidays and weekends, but please be sure to check our calendar on our booking site for special times when we will not be available.

You can book anytime on our site, but for times of service, we are available Monday - Sunday, 6am to 10pm. For the safety of our pet-sitters, if the service ends outside of our service hours, an extra fee may be charged.

Due to the popularity and high demand of pet care services over the holidays, we do charge a special rate for bookings over holiday periods. Holiday periods are listed on our booking page and are designated on our calendar.

What are your rates and payment options?
Please see our bookings page for our rates for the particular services we offer. Customized care plans and the estimated rates for customized services will be agreed upon during the consultation and prior to booking confirmation.

Why do you have a special rate for puppies?
We consider dogs to be puppies if they are under 1 yr old. Puppies need extra time and attention, as well as extra supplies. The puppy rate is there as a way for us to charge extra for higher needs dogs.

By 1, they "should" be house trained, all shots with records and growing out of most of puppy issues.

Do you take deposits? Do I need to pay for the full price of my booking all at once?

Currently we do not take deposits for services when booking, and the full price of your services is due at time of booking.

What is your booking/ cancellation policy?
Bookings must be made a minimum of 3 days before the desired start time of your booking for house sitting and boarding services. Same day bookings can be made for dog walking, daycare, and drop-in visit services.
You will be considered a “no-show” and will be charged a fee of 50% of your booked services if you cancel a booking within 3 days of the desired start time for boarding and house-sitting services. For dog walking, drop-in visits, and daycare, you will be considered a “no-show” and will be charged a fee of 50% of your booked services if you cancel a booking within 6 hours of the desired start time.
